No luck. Tried reinstalling and re-patching the server as you instructed.
The client and server both have the VC redists and DX9 installed. I was able to LAN vanilla 1.0 (the DVD version) with the offline profile (which I deleted when switching to v1.51) no issues.
The game crashes the exact same way when trying to join a v1.51 match hosted by either PC.
The one difference I've noticed between the two PCs is that only the Win 7 'client' crashes when I attempt to create a PRMP LAN match on it - but doesn't when hosting a vanilla one. Both PCs have identical game files, so that's strange, may not have anything to do with the server joining crash.
It might help if we narrowed our focus.
Remember v1.51 crashes after joining: - either a standalone or LAN server - while running vanilla or the PRMP mod - on the Win 7 'client' or Win 10 'master server' PC (when either hosts the match)
So those seem irrelevant to the problem, especially the standalone files and ccDaemon.
The remaining constants include: - the v1.51 install / game files (which I've reinstalled and repatched) - the edited client exe (from the all in one pack) - XAMPP - OpenSSL - the SQL database - the FESL server - the hosts file/s - the python scripts - something I'm forgetting probably...
Get what I mean?
Also Phantomeis you said you ran into the same issue?

Well ccDaemon was my problem it was messing with files. well at this point I am confused because it should be working lets see if we can eliminate the client and see if you can connect to the project remaster mp public server DOWNLOAD PRMP BF2142 EXEinstructions should be in the zip file

Thanks Edgecom, I was able to register and join your online server.
Confirms that I can play on a v1.51 PRMP server hosted on another computer.
Now, why can't I join a listen or standalone server hosted on one of my own computers...

ok try and start your Server with this shortcut PROJECT REMASTER MP SERVER.zip (969 B) another question what is the ip address of your client machine and your server Also is the server being hosted on physical hardware or is it a virtual box

Started standalone server with shortcut, client still crashing after joining.
Client IP is 192.168.1.88 and server IP is 192.168.1.3.
Server is on a physical Win 10 machine.

a tip for the host file: a different machine of mine needs the hostfile not only edited, but copied to the desktop and pasted back into /etc/ again for windows to notice the changes. you may test your hostfile by sending a PING to the stella.master.gamespy.com and see if your host-machine answeres it.
for me my problems currently are firefall related and my own gameservers cant get authenticated by fesl, which is strange since i never touched anything there and the database is OK as it is, atleast to the eye.

How do you tell whether the server's authenticated by fesl?
Is your client crashing after joining as well?
Could the edited exe in the pack be not correctly set to 192.168.1.3?

BINGO! Something was wrong with the exe in the pack, I edited the online server one to 192.168.1.3 and bam no more crash!  Here's the working exe file: MEGAAttachments:

Nice I think that was the original 1.51 exe that I edited I don't think I used the patched one but who knows lol I been working on so much stuff its hard to keep track I am currently working on making a linux server image that will have the BF2142 server already configured for the most part or so I hope also working on fixing the dethlock map packs to work with PRMP.
at any rate I am glad it working now
if you would like to see the FESL server in action use the _launch.bat in the FESL folder

the .exe from workingdir is completly patched to 192.178.1.3, since its the original from the github author. i guess during the fixing things got messed up, i overwrote my bf2142-folder with the one from the standalone server minutes ago, yea. problems on my end consisted only in a not properly setup firewall. how does the remote client-machine work? i guess it also can ping the stelly-server?
and after playing a round, joining the second round and then exiting the game, reloggin into your account, do you have your stats recorded and got an unlock?

you can edit the Database to give everyone all unlocks, but first the database has to work properly on yourside. else there is a modified kit_server.zip around my pc, that unlocks everything, but then you cant make use of the customization screen, which sucks in my opinion
